Your server is probably set to run agents on "new mail" on an unusually long interval. Contact your Notes Administrator and request an update to the NewMailAgentMinInterval setting. This setting can be found on the server configuration document and in the Notes.ini file on the server. The default is usually about 5 minutes, but some organizations maintain so many mailboxes on a mail server that they deliberately slow down this parameter to reduce overall agent processing on the server. The server has to be restarted for the changes to take effect immediately. If the setting does not exist in the Notes.ini file, try adding a line such as NewMailAgentMinInterval=5.
